Ban the drama queen too!

When the senior players of Mumbai Indians were contacted then there were so many things that came to the fore. Sreesanth was warned before the match. He was told that there are many youngsters playing in Mumbai Indians so he should play safe and control his anger. The young guns of Mumbai Indians were told that Sreesanth has a habit of provoking so should not be paid much attention. He should be told just this: “If you don’t behave, I’ll complain to Sachin or Bhajji.”

This preparation worked to some extent. Sreesanth couldn’t get a wicket in his first spell and was hit all over. With a habit of losing patience, Sreesanth started getting aggressive. When he came to bowl in the second spell, he got the wicket of Khote. Sreesanth has a habit of saying things to the batsman he sends back to the pavilion. As expected he said something nasty to Khote.

After the match, when both the teams were shaking hands with each other Sreesanth met Bhajji. Bhajji twisted Sreesanth’s ears for behaving in an appropriate manner. Sreesanth did not respect a senior player like Bhajji and used nasty language for him also. Seeing this Bhajji lost his cool and with his hands he asked Sreesanth to go away. Unfortunately the hand hit Sreesanth below his eyes. He thought that Bhajji wanted to slap him on his temple. Sreesanth couldn’t tolerate this misbehavior and started howling. Standing next to him V R V Singh didn’t know how to stop Sreesanth. He hugged Sreesanth and the TV cameras starting covering it. The whole world then only saw Sreesanth’s tears.

Thanks homer for painting the true picture. The media have shown it to be totally something else.

I didn't realise Bhaji was captain of India.

If there was a real problem with Sreesanth, which we all know there is, surely you get someone slightly more senior than Bhaji, maybe even someone without a anger problem himself to talk to him.

But this does make the whole thing even funnier, now Sree cried because he thought that Bhaji was going to slap him.

Actually thats true Homer, if this is what happened, the crying doesn't make sense.

But then we all know what a drama queen Sreesanth is.

I was ready to rip bhajji apart on my blog but I read ur post and thought I'd wait before I do that.

I feel sorry for sreesanth though. He looked really distrubed in todays match.

If what u have written is actually what happened bhajji wud not have been suspended based on some video evidence.

I want to watch the video.

Do you have anything to prove this actually happened?

pontings,

even jokers can get grating at times...And Sreesanth is a retard, not a joker.

Q,

Thanks for your comments.. You need to thanks Sunandan Lele for the article.. I have merely cut and paste it :)

There are three sides to every story, something the media seem to forget ever so often..

With this logic Andrew Symonds can come to the ground with a gun and shoot Harbhajan.. He has every right to do that..

Let us thank Aussies taht Harbhajan came back home safe.

Mumbai does not need Harbhajan ata ll.. Go back man

well turns out the whole Lele story was BS.. the little twit has been banned for 11 matches.. not sure why he wasnt banned for longer..

Q said...

PB, remember this is only the ban by the IPL board. The BCCI may yet ban him for longer.

Anonymous,

Thanks for your comments..

Not sure I follow what you want to say - The visuals during the Sydney Test clearly showed it was Symonds who initiated the "chat".

So, I don't think there is anything to thank the Australians for.

PB,

So it appears... But as Q has rightly pointed out, the BCCI is yet to throw the book at Harbhajan..

BTW, the guy has basically forfeited a seasons worth of salary from the IPL in addition to losing out on the matches plus there is every possibility of a loss of income/games courtesy the BCCI..

In terms of a deterrent ( for him and others), it cant get bigger than this..

And of course if Sreesanth hadn’t turned on the fountain no-one would have been any the wiser.

He effectively told tales, and is therefore the Ronaldo of cricket.

Sportsfreak,

Or its Ricky Ponting :)..

Thanks much for your comments

What is this fad of picking on Ronaldo based on what he did a couple of seasons ago? I'd have thought tomeone like Gerrard or Drogba would have been a better example!
