Interesting.
Earlier this year the team had played in NZ. I can't find many players from that tour in the team.
Who are the batsmen?
Where are they going to play and when?

It will be interesting to see how many of these names don the India cap over the next 6-7 years.
And equally interesting will be the reasons they fell by the wayside .
Homer, where did you get this list from? You know what would be nice? If these selections gave us mini-bios: things like which schools and colleges they attended, their backgrounds in age-comps etc. It'd be interesting to see how many have been following a 'cricket track' in their lives, how many are late bloomers etc. As you say, down the line, it'd be interesting to see which ones failed to make it and for what reason.

in recent article of harsha bhogle, he says he was flabbergasted by the response of shah to dravid request of more practice matches in australia.
i think he should even be more flabbergasted to know that chief selecter certain mr vengsarkar, who has represented india at higest level for so long and with much success, reportedly snubbed dravid when he approached him for more games. he reportedly said "you will be playing cricket till you catch the flight to australia, what more practice do you want".
now i can forgive shah for he doesnt know the "c" of cricket and in all probability would hold the bat wrong way, the comments he made but VENGSARKAR!!!!
no wonder we are heading fast...to seemingly the point of no return.

Great way to dig out the names....It wud be great if half of this players graduate to play for India and not follow the path of erstwhile Kaif, LR Shukla (remember him, next Kapil Dev), RS Sodhi etc etc.....

And if Indian cricket is dying a slow death, isnt it the BCCI's funeral?
