Cricketers do it all the time - without degrees in mass communications or public speaking, they front up as commentators and columnists.
An MBA graduate with no prior experience in commentating or cricket has gone on to become one of the best in the business.
Politicians become BCCI presidents, Industrialists go onto to head state associations.
So, why not this MBA graduate as coach of the India team?

Whenever something is justified simply by asking "Why not", theres a couple of things that immediatly come to mind:
1. It isn't being taken as seriously as it ought to be.
2. There are no good reasons in its favor.

Judging by the way our coach selection process is going - this is the best possible chance for an MBA to become the coach for the Indian cricket team.

Homer, this sounds good for the publicity or the occasional humor but do we really need the MBA graduate as a coach ?
Given the complications a coach job and the umpteen knowledge of the game besides being a sponge for the soaking up of pressure tht goes in every series a team plays, would a MBA graduate really fulfill the expectations ?

If the guy/gal can deliver, why not? It is not so much who applies for the job as much as the manner in which the BCCI has gone about with it, that irks me..

yes BCCI acts in a worse way than any Indian government office to select the coach....
