Will the ICC ban Ricky Ponting and Andrew Symonds for bringing the game to disrepute? And what about Mike Proctor?
And what are Bhajji's and Sachin's options in this case? Can they sue Ricky Ponting and Andrew Symonds and Mike Proctor for character assassination and slander?
Does cricket want to go down that path? Is this really such a "minor" incident as Ricky Ponting would like us to believe?

The best verdict that India and Bhajji can hope for, is "not enough proof". The appellate authority will not make a ruling that Symonds/Ponting were lying, it will (hopefully) just say that their allegations could not be proved beyond a preponderance of probabilities. This by itself makes no ground to pursue the complainants.

they will not only save their face with this but will avoid any counter pursuits...
and that will indeed be very unfortunate...once again the real cause and solution will get buried somewhere in their haste of 'working formulas' until next time...it surfaces...and so on..
now hogg has been charged. lets see what happens with him!!
