with india pakistan matches, with all their regularity, are not invoking the euphoria the used to...the once famous rivalry world used to look to is in danger of turning extinct...so everyones eye is turning to india-oz series and it has all the recipe of turning blockbuster if recent odi series was any indication...

A reference to their own spearhead, Brett Lee, in that article is illustrative - "Noted Indophile and rupee magnet Lee this week floated the ..."

That language reminds me of books like "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Roots". Even "A Time to Kill."

India- Australia games always had an element of needle in them, especially after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy came into being.. As always, both teams get the best ( and the worst) out of each other and this series should be no different.

Straightpoint,
SS has been almost rouled out of the tour down under. At the most he might make it for the 3rd test but even that doesn't seem possible because instead of trying to speed up the recovery, he is content on taking Ayurvedic treatment!!
