How Proctor came to that conclusion is beyond my comprehension..But then again, his ad hocism in applying the game's laws and propensity to muddle into criseses probably explains it...

I hope the ICC revisits the role of both the umpire and the match referee after this sorry episode.

If this episode acts as a catalyst for the ICC introspecting and improving upon its existing processes, the cricket world will emerge better because of it.
