My first reaction was he is emulating Mushtaaq - and I saw the title said the same: "Piyush Chawla maintains Mushtaq Ahmed traits for Sussex".

I had missed the point that he was playing for the same county as Mush.

Good luck to PC. Especially against the Oz - Go Googly Go.

And a century too!! An English fan wrote in a snooty forum looking at the way Indians play bounce that they would all have no chance at all in county cricket and this guy scores a big century.

So much for county cricket like Sandra Bullock.

It was a solid theory, you just overestimated the poms tactical nous, and underestimated the selfishness of county teams.

Chawla can't win matches, eg. his team, Sussex lost to Somerset in County Championships.

While Chawla has done well in a few matches, remember Chawla is a PROVEN failure in Indian colours.. He is not worthy of a separate thread (where is Laxman's thread?).

I can't see why Ramesh Power, Laxmi Balaji and Ajit Agarkar haven't been given a CHANCE in English Counties. Also, Murali Karthik has been doing a FANTASTIC work for Middlesex & Lancs before, but has had an official Indian recognition ...

Having said that I'm happy that Ojha has been WINNING ODI matches, and should be groomed as a super-talent in tests as well .. (luckly Parmar the chucker was junked before he brought shame to India!!).

GooD luck India!! Badri, M Vijay, D Karthik, Nayar, Rohit Sharma and Ojha must be tried out in full .. so India can see FRESH talented replacements for the current Indian duds ...
