By far the most balanced team the Mumbai Indians have fielded in this tournament so far. They got the right left right batting lineup going. The bowlers had definite roles, the team was not carrying any hangers on.
The batsmen batted, the bowlers bowled, the fielders fielded, Sachin handled his bowlers well. The result was a clinical performance by the Indians and a much required win.
Better days lie ahead!

Yeah, good solid performance by MI. Good on them. I guess it helped that the batting order was just right.
This Rahane bloke looked good. I never follow domestic cricket - so no suprises that I haven't heard of him thus far :)
But MI always tend to fall apart when they look good... just like the old Indian team!

Homer, do you think Bhajji needs to be in the T20 India squad? He may be the best off spinner in India (which itself is laughable, if that is true, then poor India!) but arent there better spinners around? Isnt it time to apply the "performance should decide selection not reputation" logic that was liberally applied to Saurav, Sachin, Rahul, Laxman etc?

I agree with the basic argument that form and not reputation should be the selection guide.
Having said that, what is Bhajji's role in T20? An attacking spinner out there to prise out wickets or a defensive spinner out there to get thru his 4 overs for minimal damage and someone who can wield the willow a bit?
