Its bizarre..... because ICC has done absolutely nothing underhanded! Their tournament design has been the same since the beginning.... since 2005 when the draw was announced..
But the astounding thing is that rediff (and judging by the comments on that rediff story, some fans as well), had made up their own mind about the tournament rules, with absolutely no regard for the official rules, and then when they found this out, it was a predictable bash-ICC fest...

yup, I wrote about it a while ago as well, but its really ridiculous, the lambasting in the Rediff article. its no expose, its been knownw for a while now. bah!
I thought of Amit's article coz he and I had a hearty laugh over the absurdity of it all. Plus the cricket quiz site had carried a question on the very same issue.
