Soopher Kinks win

After the Bangalore Royally Challenged, it was the turn of the Chennai Soopher Kinks (aka Chennai Soopher Khinghs) to beat the Indians..

And while Harbhajan's captaincy left much to be desired, he showed heart with the bat ( especially after taking that knock on his foot). And Abhishek Nayar!!!

What can one say of Abhishek Nayar... But for Daryl Harper, my boy would have had a wicket off his first ball. ( Just because it is Tollywood and because he has a beer belly does not give Harper license to believe he can be a Sthar!!Focus on the cricket, Daryl.).

And what a superlative effort with the bat... A star is born!

All in all, a great effort with the bat by the Mumbaikars.Pretty sure the pattars wet thier vesti's when Joghinder Sharmha bowled that no ball in the last over.

So, its onto Mohali and the Punjab Kinks..

Go the Indians!!!

pontings,

Hyderabadis??? Its the pattars I was talking about ( unless the Chennai film industry is called something other than Tollywood, in which case, change tollywood to whatever wood it is :) ).

Mumbai doesn't steal beauties... Beauties are naturally attracted to Mumbai ...

Cheers :)

boo hoo homer

What was Bhajji thinking when he didn't complete his 4 overs? Maybe the Mumbai wet-their-pants syndrome affected him?

:-)

Homer, there are actually 3 Woods Down South

Kollywood-Tamil
Tollywood-Telugu
Sandalwood-Kannada

Mallu movies dont wanna be associated with any wood so far.

Also BTW can u add my blog URL to the links on urs. I have been blogging on IPL matches in mine.

Bhajji's captaincy was awful, and though Mumbai Indians showed a lot of pluck, the fact is that if u take Pollock and Bhajji out of the attack, its bowling is essentially club level.

Anyway me too hoping Sachin comes back at Mohali. Bhajji is just not comfortable with captaincy.

prabu,

maccha, well played da!!

( Yes, I have seen Chennai 600028, subtitled of course :) )

As regards Bhajji, I think he tuned off once he got the bald albino run out.

He is still learning on what it means to be a Mumbaikar and his effort with the bat will go a long way in establishing his Mumbai cred!

Cheers

Homer, almost every reason you could have put forward for the defeat against Bangalore is valid for today's defeat too. We really do need one more quality bowler and a reliable batsman in the middle order. Pollock batting at no. 5 with no other option (apart from Nayar) is just ridiculous.

Btw, another match review up at my blog.

Bhajji surely batted with a big heart. Why didn't he bowl? And I thought his bowling changes was like giving every a chance.. galli cricket chal rahi hai kia?
